Job Description: Health Content SEO Consultant – Fixed Term Salford Quays, Manchester M50 3SP – hybrid, office min 2 days per week Fixed Term Contract – 12 months Full time 37.5 hours per week Salary £38000 - £47500 depending on experience We make health happen The team The SEO team operates within the Digital Commercial Team, which is responsible for the commercial performance of Bupa.co.uk, with a remit that covers the end-to-end customer acquisition journey from the management of a multi-million point digital marketing and social advertising budget, SEO and website optimisation for multiple Bupa businesses. Search engine optimisation, generative engine optimisation and content marketing are all core strategic functions of our team. We do this by constantly maintaining and improving how well optimised our website is, making regular changes to make sure it’s in sound working order to perform well in Google’s organic search results and large language models. The role Responsible for delivering the SEO strategy for the Health Information section of Bupa.co.uk The main goal is to drive and improve organic performance and optimise for AI overviews and large language models through a range of onsite and technical tasks. You’ll execute outstanding on-page SEO and optimise the written content for keyword and prompt performance. How you’ll help us make health happen Lead on the management and fixing of technical errors within the Health Information section of Bupa.co.uk. Create and upload relevant types of schema code in the CMS. Conduct comprehensive keyword and prompt research to target where the opportunity lies. Optimise the existing health information pages, focusing on using relevant keywords and popular prompts to ensure that we are visible in relevant searches. Work with our clinicians and the Health Content team to ensure we’re showcasing Experience, Expertise, Authority and Trust signals across all pages in the section. Identify ways to improve and action changes to elements of on-page SEO such as implementation of meta data, internal linking and content optimisation Support with the optimisation of the Bupa Health YouTube channel Lead on keyword research to identify gaps and opportunities Feed in structural recommendations to the content and practice techniques for optimising for generative search. Monitor performance regularly and communicate with stakeholders Constantly check data to inform the strategy and will be results-driven. Monitor competitors and make recommendations to improve performance Work with the SEO and Health Content teams to develop and implement an SEO strategy with a particular focus on GEO. Keep up to date with the latest SEO and GEO trends and techniques, whilst understanding what type of SEO tactics help drive user engagement. You Significant SEO experience and knowledge, able to hit the ground running. A collaborative team player with the expertise and confidence to work autonomously Results-driven with experience covering copywriting, technical SEO and GEO tactics. Expertise and initiative to determine the best course of action to improve and optimise the health information section and gravitas to make recommendations. Creatively minded, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Highly organised, able to balance multiple projects. Ability to interpret SEO performance data with experience using analytics tools and SEO tools such as Brightedge, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Screaming Frog.
