As an SEO Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for 50+ clients, ensuring their SEO goals are met through strategic planning, expert communication, and seamless execution. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a passion for SEO or digital marketing, and excels in client management and upselling opportunities.
What You’ll Need
- Proven experience (3+ years) in Account Management, (ideally SEO, but this isn’t a pre-requisite) with a strong track record of managing multiple clients and achieving results.
- Knowledge (or willingness to learn about) SEO practices, including keyword research, content optimization, backlink strategies, and technical SEO.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain SEO concepts to clients in an understandable way. This is the most important thing! We want people that actually enjoy talking with people and can navigate all types of client conversations and people with different backgrounds.
- Experience in upselling and preparing proposals for additional services.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively across multiple accounts.
What You’ll Do
Client Management:
- Manage 40+ client accounts, serving as the main point of contact via email and video calls.
- Communicate!! You’ll email your clients a snapshot roundup of our work weekly.
- Address client questions about SEO progress, reporting, and strategies to achieve their goals.
- Conduct kick-off calls and monthly catch-up calls with new clients, explaining the SEO strategy, setting expectations, and gathering necessary inputs.
Strategy Development:
- Understand what the business wants to see to deem our work successful, set expectations, and thoroughly relay this to the team so everyone can work on getting those results for clients.
- Collaborate and manage a team of 3 to ensure a data-driven approach in all strategies and recommendations.
Upselling:
- Identify opportunities to upsell backlink and technical SEO packages, preparing proposals and presenting them during client calls.
Team Leadership:
- Manage and guide a team of three members: a technical SEO, content writer, and GMB specialist.
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure high-quality output from the team.
Reporting:
- Provide regular reports on SEO key performance indicators (KPIs) for clients, demonstrating progress and areas for improvement.
- Use analytics tools to create detailed campaign performance reports.
