This is a hands-on SEO role where you’ll take full ownership of a portfolio of client accounts, leading on strategy, performance and communication. You’ll act as a trusted advisor, guiding clients through everything from reporting and planning to long-term growth strategies. Rather than simply delivering tasks, you’ll be responsible for building and executing SEO approaches that drive measurable business outcomes, while identifying opportunities to retain and expand accounts. Working closely with content specialists and developers, you’ll stay actively involved in delivery, balancing structured services with the freedom to create tailored strategies.
Success in this position is defined by your ability to build strong, lasting client relationships and deliver real results. You’ll be expected to drive growth across traffic, leads and revenue while confidently leading conversations and providing clear, actionable insights instead of surface-level data. A key part of the role is recognising opportunities for further growth within accounts and proactively acting on them, ensuring clients see ongoing value and strategic direction.
We’re looking for someone who brings together proven SEO account management experience with strong commercial awareness and excellent communication skills. You should be comfortable managing multiple clients and priorities, understanding SEO as a revenue-driving channel rather than just a technical function. A solid grasp of tools such as Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, SEMrush, and Ahrefs is important, alongside a well-rounded knowledge of technical SEO, content strategy and on-page optimisation. This role offers the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis, at least twice a week. Due to the location of the Essex based office, this role is commutable from Braintree, Chelmsford, Colchester, Halstead, Sudbury, Harwich, Felixstowe, Hadleigh, Witham, Tiptree and Kelvedon.
