As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Technical SEO Specialist to be based at our Office in London.
About the Role:
We are looking for a Technical SEO Specialist to support the growth and performance of all CDS Superstores brands. Working closely with the Group SEO Manager, development teams, and ecommerce stakeholders, you will be responsible for improving the technical health and search visibility of our websites.
This role will play a key part in website migrations, replatforming projects, and the ongoing optimisation of our digital estate. You'll ensure SEO best practices are embedded into our platforms while helping to develop our approach to Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) as search continues to evolve.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical SEO audits across all Group websites.
- Identify, prioritise, and resolve issues impacting crawling, indexing, rankings, and organic performance.
- Work closely with development and product teams to deliver technical SEO improvements.
- Monitor and optimise site architecture, internal linking, redirects, canonicals, pagination, and indexation.
- Support website performance improvements, including page speed and Core Web Vitals.
- Review and optimise structured data, XML sitemaps, robots directives, and search engine accessibility.
- Support major website migrations, redesigns, and platform launches.
- Carry out crawl analysis, log-file analysis, and technical performance reviews.
- Create technical SEO requirements and acceptance criteria for development teams.
- Measure and report on the impact of technical SEO improvements.
- Support SEO strategies for GEO and AEO through technical optimisation and machine-readable site architecture.
- Stay current with industry developments, search technologies, and SEO best practices.
Person Specification:
Essential
- Strong hands-on technical SEO experience.
- Experience working on ecommerce or other large-scale websites.
- Strong understanding of crawling, indexing, website architecture, and technical SEO best practices.
- Knowledge of HTML, JavaScript rendering, and modern web technologies.
- Experience using enterprise SEO crawling and monitoring tools.
- Working knowledge of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO reporting tools.
- Experience working closely with developers, technology teams, or product teams.
- Proven experience supporting a major ecommerce website migration or replatform project.
- Strong understanding of GEO and AEO principles and how technical SEO influences AI-driven search visibility.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Commercially aware with a structured approach to prioritisation and decision-making.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proactive, collaborative, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Desirable
- Experience conducting log-file analysis and advanced technical investigations.
- Experience supporting experimentation and SEO performance testing.
- Knowledge of structured data implementation and advanced schema strategies.
