The Role

Step into an exciting Mid-Level SEO role, designed for candidates with proven SEO experience who are ready to take ownership of campaigns, implement advanced strategies, and contribute to client-facing initiatives. You’ll work closely with the Head of SEO, managing projects end-to-end and mentoring junior team members while developing expertise in Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO)—the revolutionary approach to visibility in AI-powered search experiences like ChatGPT and Google Gemini.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and implement comprehensive SEO strategies to maximise organic traffic and search visibility
Conduct advanced keyword research, competitive analysis, and technical audits to inform campaign strategy
Optimise and manage long-form website and blog content, balancing search performance with user experience
Manage on-page SEO including meta titles, headings, internal linking, schema markup, and image optimisation
Monitor and analyse campaign performance using Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, and other tools; translate insights into actionable recommendations
Collaborate with development and design teams to resolve technical SEO issues affecting site performance, crawlability, and indexing
Pioneer and refine Generative Engine Optimisation strategies for AI-powered search platforms
Mentor junior SEO colleagues and provide guidance on best practices
Contribute to client reporting and presentations, offering insights and strategic recommendations
Take full ownership of client accounts, providing strategic guidance rather than solely supporting tasks
Rapidly integrate into projects and deliver results independently with minimal supervision
Demonstrate excellent client communication and relationship management skills

Skills & Experience Required

2–4 years of SEO experience in an agency or in-house environment
A few years of direct SEO experience as a minimum
Strong understanding of technical SEO, on-page optimisation, and content strategy
Experience producing and optimising high-quality website and blog content
Familiarity with AI-driven search optimisation and GEO techniques is a plus
Proficient in SEO and analytics tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, Search Console)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client-facing and team collaboration
Ability to work independently and contribute effectively in a team environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with curiosity about how search engines and AI process information
Degree in writing-intensive or analytical subjects (e.g., English, History) is advantageous
Understanding of basic marketing principles; comprehensive training provided
