As SEO Account Director at Found, you will take ownership of complex client portfolios, championing a modern search approach that collaborates effectively with Paid Media and Social channels to ensure consistent brand messaging. You will build a unified organic strategy across Search Engines, LLMs, and Social Media by combining Technical SEO and UX, multimodal content, topical and brand authority, AI visibility, and Digital PR.
You will sit within the Organic team, line managing SEO Account Manager(s) and Senior SEO Executive(s) and coordinating delivery across specialist functions (Technical SEO, Content, Digital PR, CRO) to ensure a coherent roadmap and high-quality output. Beyond account delivery, you will shape best practice, drive innovation, and influence how Organic operates across the agency in an AI-driven, multi-platform world.

Strategic & Commercial Leadership: Guiding modern organic strategy across a client portfolio with a sharp focus on KPIs, ROI, and long-term growth, while accounting for AI results and social search.
Organic Presence Across All Platforms: Shifting focus from “rankings” to broad, multi-surface visibility across Google, AI results and social platforms like YouTube, and Reddit.
Client Success & Retention: Acting as the senior point of contact to build deep, productive client relationships and identify upsell opportunities.

Act as the final escalation point and accountable owner for portfolio commercials, ensuring Senior SEO Account Managers have clear direction for day-to-day delivery and client comms.
Lead key meetings and contribute to QBRs, proposals, and client development planning.
Ensure reporting, forecasting, and delivery standards across your portfolio are consistently high, commercially sound, and trusted by clients.
Own portfolio resourcing, ensuring the right people are allocated at the right time across accounts.
Define and own the organic strategy across your portfolio, defining holistic roadmaps that target user intent across multiple discovery platforms: Search, LLMs, and Social media.
Ensure performance frameworks are set across Search + AI visibility + Social surfaces (KPIs, reporting, review cadence), monitoring outcomes and pivoting strategy when needed.
Guide teams to implement and validate strategy, ensuring outcomes are measurable and impactful.
Collaborate with Organic, Paid Search, and Social teams to maximise visibility and ensure consistent brand messaging.
Proactively test new tactics (e.g. LLM optimisation) to keep clients ahead of the curve in the evolving search landscape.
Manage the profitability of your portfolio, ensuring strict adherence to scope and budget.
Proactively identify opportunities to grow the account (upsell/cross-sell) by spotting gaps in the client’s organic presence.
Lead the commercial side of renewals and annual planning, ensuring the value of the work is clearly linked to the client's business goals.
Support accurate scoping and resourcing for new initiatives (including AI/GEO testing), ensuring plans are deliverable within budget and timelines.
Support the wider agency growth by contributing to pitches and developing commercially viable strategy proposals for prospective clients.
Line manage and coach SEO Account Managers and Executives, setting clear expectations and goals.
Conduct weekly 1:1s, quarterly development sessions, and manage performance against personal development plans (PDPs).
Support your team’s growth by reviewing outputs, delivering feedback, and providing stretch opportunities.

Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within an agency environment, specifically managing Global, International, or large-scale Enterprise accounts.
Deep expertise in Technical SEO and Content Strategy, with hands-on experience leading complex initiatives such as site migrations, International SEO, and E-commerce websites.
Proven ability to define long-term, multi-channel Organic roadmaps that drive measurable business impact across traffic, revenue, and brand metrics.
Demonstrable experience working alongside Paid Media, PR, and Content teams to drive unified performance and efficiency.
Understands the financial implications of client relationships, protecting profitability while actively identifying opportunities for revenue growth.
Experienced in costing projects, creating proposals, and managing team allocation to ensure account profitability.
