Debenhams are looking for an SEO assistant to join the team. Reporting into the SEO Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the onsite and offsite strategy for the Debenhams site, delivering SEO campaigns that will help drive organic growth. This role would suit someone with an interest in search engine optimisation, who is looking to develop their career in a fast paced and growing business.

On the e-commerce side of things, we drive traffic to our online stores and generate sales through affiliate marketing, paid media, CRM and SEO. Everything goes towards achieving our mission to be a global fashion e-commerce leader.
What you'll be doing
- Support in executing an SEO strategy in our core markets to drive traffic, revenue and new customer acquisition
- Day-to-day optimisation of our category and sub-category pages to improve non-brand organic visibility in the SERPs
- Perform keyword research in line with key product buys and seasonality to identify new opportunities for growth
- Working within the CMS of the Debenhams platform for meta data amends or uploading of content.
- Assist in developing content marketing activities to maximise campaign performance
- Report on key KPIs to monitor and develop successful SEO campaigns
- Ensure SEO practises are innovative and effective in their execution
More about you
- SEO experience with a previous role in fashion, home or beauty beneficial
- Knowledge of the core fundamental principles of SEO and its purpose
- Understanding of recent history of Google algorithm updates
- Experience utilising the Google suite is beneficial, including Google Analytics and Google Search Console for digital insight and optimisation
- Ability to apply SEO knowledge to campaign ideas
- Passionate for digital marketing and understanding of the newest industry developments
- Ambitious and driven with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to tight deadlines
