Main purpose of the job
As a SEO Officer & Copy Writer at Global Study UK, you will assist the Web Developer team in driving online visibility and improving the website’s organic search rankings. You will be responsible for supporting the execution of SEO strategies, managing daily tasks, and performing essential SEO activities such as keyword research, content optimisation, link building, and technical SEO maintenance. You will be wiritng blogs and articles to increase visbility related to our brand.
You will work closely with the SEO Coordinator to implement best practices that enhance website performance, user experience, and drive targeted traffic. The role will also involve collaborating with internal teams, such as content and development, to ensure seamless implementation of SEO initiatives.
Essential duties and responsibilities
· Assist in conducting keyword research to identify high-value, relevant keywords for content development and PPC campaigns
· Support the optimisation of website content, meta tags, headings and URLs to ensure alignment with targeted keywords
· Improve internal linking structure to enhance user experience and search engine crawlability
· Aid in optimising image alt descriptions and file names for SEO
· Assist in monitoring technical aspects of the website, ensuring that it is fully optimised for search engines
· Help with fixing crawl errors, broken links and conducting basic SEO audits
· Stay up-to-date with industry trends, search engine algorithm changes and adapt strategies accordingly
· Build high-quality natural backlinks related to our different markets, through outreach, guest posting and link acquisition strategies.
· Monitor and reject low-quality or spam backlinks to maintain a healthy link profile.
· Help create SEO- friendly content, including blog posts, articles, and landing pages, by incorporating long-tail keywords
· Collaborate with the content team to ensure that SEO requirements are met
· Collaborate with the content teams to create engaging and relevant content for the website
· Plan and support PPC campaigns across multiple platforms, ensuring optimal performance and maximum to develop strategic PPC campaigns ROI
· Assist with data analysis and reporting for PPC and SEO campaigns, providing insights for improvements
· Perform competitor research to identify trends, threats, and opportunities in the SEO landscape
· Generate and present regular reports on key metrics such as organic traffic, keyword rankings, and other SEO performance indicators
· Stay up-to-date with industry trends, search engine algorithm updates, and best practices
· Assist in the management and maintenance of the company’s websites, ensuring regular updates are made
· Represent Global Study UK at local and national careers & School Fairs in the MENA region, partner’s exhibitions and at Global Study UK Fairs and Tours
· Use Salesforce CRM to track lead generation and conversion, generate reports on performance towards targets and draw comparisons against previous years
· Reporting data, creating reports and dashboard to analyse GSUK register lead and resources which generates them
· Providing hands-on technical support to company equipment when required.
· Create engaging and intuitive user interfaces through effective front-end development, utilising HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to enhance user experience
· Proactively monitor and address security vulnerabilities, perform regular backups, and conduct routine maintenance tasks to ensure website stability and security
Skills Required:
· Proven experience in SEO or digital marketing, ideally with a focus on website optimisation, content creation, or PPC
· Familiarity with SEO tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or similar platforms
· Strong understanding of SEO best practices, keyword research, and content optimisation techniques
· Proficient in web development languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with popular frameworks and libraries
· Strong writing skills and ability to produce SEO-friendly content
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
· Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
Ability to perform detailed SEO audits and implement optimization strategies
· Proactive and motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
