The Opportunity
With ambitious growth plans and increasing digital demand, we are looking for a commercially minded Group SEO Manager to lead the strategic planning and execution of our SEO roadmap across multiple brands and websites.
This role is ideal for an SEO expert who thrives on turning data into action, moving quickly from insight to implementation, and working cross-functionally to drive measurable growth in reach, relevant traffic, and conversions.
You will work closely with Web Development, Sales, Content, and senior leadership to ensure search optimisation aligns with wider marketing activity and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
Develop and execute long-term, scalable SEO strategies aligned with group (and individual) growth targets and OKRs
- Own the SEO roadmap across multiple websites and brands
- Translate SEO performance into commercial results
- Mentor and upskill team members where applicable
Technical SEO
- Identify and resolve issues relating to crawlability, indexing, site architecture, page speed, mobile usability, and schema markup
- Produce clear technical requirements for developers
- Conduct regular technical audits and oversee implementation
On-Page & Content Optimisation
- Perform in-depth keyword research and search intent analysis
- Optimise meta data, headings, internal linking, images, and on-page copy
- Partner with internal teams to ensure SEO best practice and produce high-quality output
- Support AI-assisted content creation where appropriate
Off-Page SEO
- Develop and execute ethical, high-quality link-building strategies
- Build digital PR and backlink acquisition campaigns to strengthen domain authority
Paid Search (Google Ads) Management
· Fully manage and optimise Google Ads accounts across the Group
· Monitor performance, budgets, and ROI to ensure efficient spend
· Launch, adjust, or pause campaigns in response to business needs
· Shift budgets strategically based on performance and priorities
· Identify new campaign opportunities to support growth targets
· Align Paid and Organic strategies for maximum search visibility
Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor rankings, traffic, engagement, and conversions
- Produce regular performance reports with clear, actionable insights
- Use data to prioritise opportunities and refine strategy
Collaboration
- Work cross-functionally with web developers, designers and sales teams
- Align SEO and Paid Search strategies for maximum SEM efficiency
- Communicate priorities and performance clearly to senior leadership
Market & Algorithm Monitoring
- Stay ahead of search engine algorithm updates and industry changes
- Monitor competitor performance and emerging trends
- Maintain strong knowledge of AI-driven search developments
Key Requirements & Skills
Experience
- 3 to 5+ years in an SEO Manager or Senior SEO role
- Proven track record delivering measurable SEO growth
- Experience managing SEO across multiple websites or brands
- Strong awareness of current and emerging SEO trends, including AI (GEI, AIO, AEO, SGE, and E-E-A-T)
- Hands-on experience managing Google Ads campaigns and budgets
- Strong understanding of PPC performance metrics and optimisation
- Ability to balance SEO and Paid Search for holistic SEM performance
